I had a minor issue with the way Fit File Repair Tool imports swim files from a specific sports watch, and I emailed Mathias. To my great surprise, Mathias recoded the program and fixed my problem
within 12 hours. This not only made me a very happy customer but I also drew tremendous inspiration from Mathias' work ethic and dedication. Truly amazed.

Mathias - Thank you very much for taking the time to analyze the corrupted FIT file from my triathlon. Although about half the file was unrecoverable, I very much appreciate the time you took to
analyze it and subsequent test files I sent you.

Great help from Mathias with my broken file. I'm a Mac user so can't use the software.

    Hi Mathias,

What do you recommend for Mac users? This program seems to make Windows users very happy..

    Many thanks,

Own a Garmin, then do yourself a favour and buy FitFileRepairTool. It does what its name says as much more. Perfectly edited timestamps so I could sync my helmet cam videos with the FIT files. Thanks
    Mathias. Roy

Your Fit File Repair Tool is an excellent program. It is possible my company can sell your program in the USA. We have an on-line store that we are expanding for 2014.

Outstanding tool. Your tool repaired my last corrupted fit file on the Garmin Edge 810. I will buy the full license that's for sure. Keep up the good work.
Will there be in the near future a possibility to get the option for the personal record fit file. In my last track I had a faster 40K time, but this track (fit file) became corrupted.

Your new version 5.12.13 worked like a Champ. I was playing with your older version earlier this morning and was wondering how you were able to append my 2 overlapping fit files files. My mileage
always ended up greater than what I actually rode. I was going to try some other options, but you've come through with what I was looking for. I will sign your guest book and put in a GREAT
recommendation on your application. This feature enhances your product and works Awesome!

    Thanks for your Support,

updates are published as zip files - you simply need to extract the update file into your installation folder and overwrite existing files

  • zenbike (Montag, 08. Juli 2013 09:34)

What is the process for updating the file to the latest version?

There is no real instruction regarding this.

  • Mathias Krallmann (Sonntag, 13. Januar 2013 10:46)

Hi Carlo, device settings, user profile etc. not an official Garmin file as far as I know
Sorry, no chance to change the settings with my tool, too complex and too dangerous :-(

  • Carlo Baldissera (Samstag, 12. Januar 2013 19:18)

Hi Mathias, just another challenge to you :)
It seems that the .fit file has no secrets to you. What is the content of and
Any chance to change the settings and the pages of Garmin's Edge through your program?

  • Mathias (Donnerstag, 13. September 2012 21:55)

@pepel: no, r-r data are not being tranferred between the different file formats in the current version of the Repair Tool. I plan to implement this feature in one of the coming versions!

  • pepeL (Dienstag, 11. September 2012 17:09)

Will the conversionfrom .fit to .hrm keep the r-r data?

  • Mathias Krallmann (Sonntag, 01. Juli 2012 20:49)

    Hi Ben,

thanks for your message on the website! I think the batch mode is not fully implemented in the trial version. If this is important to you I will check it in detail for you.
The trial mode is intended to demonstrate the tool's ability to repair most of the corrupted fit files. The batch mode works in the full version, that is sure - some people bought the tool because
they use it "only" to convert between FIT / TCX / HRM and use the batch mode if the files are not corrupted.

    Is this information helpful?

    Best regards

  • Ben Verwer (Sonntag, 01. Juli 2012 03:04)

what is the difference between trial and full version? trying to run in batch mode, it says it's starting, gives an error, says look in log file, isn't there.

  • Mathias (Dienstag, 19. Juni 2012 15:14)

    thanks for your message!

You need to download the trial & full version to install the tool. This download includes a setup.exe and should work!

  • Curtis (Dienstag, 19. Juni 2012 15:06)

I've downloaded latest version here and unzipped file then, there is now exe file in it. There's only accdr file which can not be run stand-alone.
Is there any way to run the file?

  • Don Montalvo (Samstag, 19. Mai 2012 23:25)

Would be great if this tool ran on a Mac. :(

  • Mathias Krallmann (Freitag, 18. Mai 2012 07:57)

@Elias Santiago: I have sent you the licence file again. If you haven't received it please check your spam folder!

  • Elias Santiago (Freitag, 18. Mai 2012 05:52)

I have NOT received my license! I paid on May 13, 2012. my emails are: shotgunpr [at] yahoo [dot] com

Many thanks, just being able to look in the fit file has allowed me to better understand of what my Garmin FR910xt is doing, especially what is happening when multiple inputs are coming in or I get
    crazy calibrations of my footpod.

  • Martin (Montag, 23. April 2012 20:52)

You just saved my day! The original workout failed to import to Garmin Connect from my Forerunner 610. I then first tried importing the original Fit file after finding it on my computer, but without
success. Then I imported it in your program, and exported a new Fit file directly without any changes. It worked!

Thank you and best wishes from Norway,

  • Andrina (Sonntag, 22. April 2012 21:17)

Danke Schoen!! This tool saved many a fit file for me! I'm no longer feeling the need to throw my Garmin out the window!

  • Mike Murphy (Montag, 16. April 2012 02:08)

Very nice tool, I forgot to reset my Garmin 500 following a ride and ended up with two events in a single file. This made it easy to split the data into two separate files. Cheers

  • Fozzy (Sonntag, 15. April 2012 04:49)

Thanks for this tool - it was able to (partially) recover a fit file I couldn't otherwise read.

One comment, could you add to your News column at the right the date of the News.

    Thanks for a great tool!

  • Jake (Freitag, 13. April 2012 19:27)

Your tool worked perfectly. Fantastic. Thank you.

  • Mathias (Sonntag, 26. Februar 2012 17:06)

    Hi Dennis,

I wish I could offer you a Mac version of my tool - unfortunately MS Access (which the tool is developed with) is not available for Macs. The only way to usw the tool on a Mac is to execute it in a
virtual machine running Windows. If someone is interested in developing a web oder Mac version of my tool (s)he can inform me and will get all support that I can offer.

  • Dennis (Sonntag, 26. Februar 2012 12:14)

    Hi Mathias,

Any chance that you will come up with a MAC version? Thanks in advance!

  • Tabita (Dienstag, 07. Februar 2012 19:16)

Hi Mathias, thanks a lot for your amazing tool! You saved my day :-)

  • Bryce (Dienstag, 07. Februar 2012 16:26)

Thanks for this excellent tool - Fixed a 6 hour .FIT file from my Garmin Edge 500!

  • Tony (Donnerstag, 19. Januar 2012 12:17)

Tool works excellently. I used it to repair a corrupt fit file from my 310xt.

    Well done that man!

PS Any chance of a mac version? I know it's a big ask!

  • Ian Kenny (Freitag, 04. November 2011 14:26)

I want to express my sincere thanks for the use of your .fit repair tool.

I ran my first marathon in Dublin last week and my Garmin watch turned off after the race corrupting the file.

Thanks to your repair tool I now have my records back.

  • Titan (Freitag, 14. Oktober 2011 18:11)

Great tool! It worked perfectly to fix my Garmin Edge 500 .fit file that was corrupted.
